AND CAME INTO EFFECT ON JANUARY 1, 1988.
For 30 years, the Pay Equity Of ce has been
promoting gender economic equality by:
● Enforcing pay equity rights and obligations
through effective case and complaint management
● Promoting awareness to advance economic
equality for Ontario’s working women
● Advancing research on the gender wage gap
In 2015-16, 1,899 employees received more than
$6.8 million in adjustments for women stemming
from the Pay Equity Of ce’s workplace investigations.
We have before us the fi rst truly
proactive pay equity legislation
for the public and private
sectors in North America.
