Adrian Ishak is a partner at Rubin Thomlinson LLP. Whether advising employers or ex-ecutive-
level employees, his practice focuses on all aspects of employment law including
employee relations, terminations, wrongful dismissals, employment contracts and employ-ment
policies. He provides strategic counselling on a number of human resources, privacy
and human rights issues. With a joint Ontario and Québec call and with experience in both
jurisdictions, Ishak guides his clients through employment standards matters, pay and em-ployment
equity and human rights obligations in Canadian common law and Québec’s

Anthea Gomez is the director of human resources and corporate services for Express

MATT BROWN
Matt Brown is senior vice president, Human Resources, People and Culture at Credential
Financial. He oversees HR with the goal of creating a highly engaging environment that
attracts and retains top talent from across the country. Prior to Credential, Matt spent 11
years in the high-tech sector with Crystal Decisions, Business Objects and SAP. Brown
currently sits on the board of directors of the Sanford Housing Foundation, an organiza-tion
dedicated to building and operating affordable social housing in Vancouver. He and his
wife have three daughters. He is an avid triathlete, completing Ironman Canada in 2013.

MILIND GURJAR
As senior director and general manager for Learning@Cisco, Milind Gurjar is responsible
for training Cisco’s top-tier customers, channel partners and employees worldwide. Gurjar
has led the transformation of Cisco’s learning portfolio from a predominantly instructor-led
model to a blend of live, virtual and self-study solutions and performance support tools.
Before joining Cisco in 2007, he was senior vice president and general manager at a lead-ing

Susan Hyatt is CEO and co-founder of Silver Sherpa Inc., a professional services compa-ny
that delivers crisis management for the elderly, along with advice in estate planning and
