GEORGE VASSOS
George Vassos focuses his practice on advocacy before trial and appellate courts, and before
various labour boards, arbitrators, mediators, adjudicators and other administrative
tribunals. He counsels employers on a wide variety of labour and employment law issues,
including ESA issues, out of the Toronto office of Littler LLP. He earned the Certified
Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation from the Human Resources Professionals

Lee-Martin Seymour launched Xref with co-founder Tim Griffiths in 2011. The Xref
concept was initiated from Seymour’s frustration with the way reference checking was being
conducted, the results it was delivering and his passion for pioneering positive change in the
HR industry for the long term. Headquartered in Sydney, Xref has since expanded into APAC,
Europe and North America, and now helps businesses around the world make smart, businesscritical
decisions based on data. Now CEO of Xref, Seymour spent almost 20 years working in
recruitment across various industries and geographies. During this time, he developed a deep
understanding of the demands of the employment market and its pain points. Read the article

WILLIAM A. SCHIEMANN, PH.D.
William A. Schiemann, Ph.D., is the CEO of Metrus Group, specializing in strategic
performance measurement, organizational alignment and talent optimization. He has consulted
extensively with corporations on the development and implementation of business
and people strategies; HR measurement; strategic employee surveys; internal value assessments;
and creating high-performance cultures. Schiemann is a thought leader in human
resources, employee engagement and fulfillment, and author of Fulfilled! Critical Choices –
Work, Home, Life. He received a Ph.D. in organizational psychology from the University

NATALIA PANOWICZ
Natalia Panowicz is the chief operating officer of Codility, a worldwide leader in tech recruiting
assessments. She majored in psychology in Poland and Belgium and earned a
business degree (magna cum laude) from Vlerick Business School. Prior to joining Codility,
she consulted in Guatemala, did research and managed an NGO project. She is motivated
